Galfer's Solid-Mount Rear Wave rotors offer the same advantages as the front rotors when paired with the floating rear calipers found on most motorcycles. These rotors, crafted with the best materials and manufacturing processes, are built to handle any challenge you face. The patented inner and outer Wave design minimizes heat transfer, equalizes dissipation, and ensures even pad wear. Galfer introduced these rotors in the early 1990s to address the issue of water and mud on the brake rotor surfaces of trial competition motorcycles. As the design evolved, an additional benefit was discovered: the brake system ran cooler. The combination of the new design and the premium materials already developed for the round rotors resulted in a new generation of brake rotor technology.

These rotors are made of Galfer's unique high carbon 420 SS/8 composite, and they are laser-cut, not stamped like most other rotors. The double-disc design ensures parallel grinding for perfect parallel flatness. The rotors are heat-treated for each specific application to ensure warp resistance. The designs are created using CAD-CAM and tested with a stress analysis program, as well as dyno/real-life tested before being offered on the market. Galfer Wave rotors are KBA and TUV approved and are protected under US PTO# 6, 386, 340 and US Trademark# 76, 517, 881.
